Born amidst the desert landscapes of the Coachella Valley, Juan's journey with music began early and has persisted ever since. This passion developed naturally, progressing from makeshift drum beats on upside-down paint buckets to the nuanced harmonies of the acoustic guitar in his early years. This early introduction to the vibrant world of music shaped Juan's career path, fueling his pursuit of a field that would allow him to continue exploring his interests.

Juan's dedication to his art extended into his academic life as he progressed through middle and high school, mastering the trumpet and mellophone. His collaborative spirit and enjoyment of working with fellow musicians amplified his desire to delve deeper into audio production, envisioning a career encompassing film scores, studio sessions, live performances, and audio curation for various events.

Currently pursuing an associate's degree in Music Technology, Juan is immersed in the study of audio engineering. With intensive learning already under his belt, he is eager to contribute his skills and expertise to diverse soundscapes, whether in live or studio environments.

While diligently working to complete his final courses, Juan remains ever open and flexible to any growth opportunities that might present themselves. He understands the importance of hands-on experience in shaping his professional journey and is, therefore, keen on exploring internships or full-time positions in sound engineering.

The Now

Juan is currently an AV Event Technician with Encore Global, Juan is swiftly amassing diverse experience across various locations within Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. This role has allowed him to dip his toes into a rich assortment of technical responsibilities, including lighting, audio, projectors, and scenic design, strengthening his skill set and industry knowledge with each new project.

This position has been more than just a job for Juan; it's been an opportunity for him to learn, grow, and make invaluable industry connections. His industrious nature coupled with his deep passion for music and entertainment fuels his ambition to continually advance in the industry.

Juan's dream doesn't stop at the desert's edge, however. His sights are set on larger urban landscapes such as San Diego and Los Angeles, known for their bustling live sound gigs and vibrant music scenes. Juan always imagined himself intertwined with the pulsating world of live sound - a dream he is ardently working towards as he progresses in his educational journey in music and entertainment.

Whether it’s through refining his skills at Encore Global or working towards his associate’s degree in Music Technology, Juan’s commitment to his craft remains unwavering. He continues to envision a future where his technical acumen and passion for music converge, allowing him to contribute in a meaningful way to the dynamic field of live sound and audio engineering.

However, Juan will not stop at audio engineering as he is also taking a new field to reach his extended goals. By interacting with the technology he's surrounded himself in the field of entertainment. Juan will begin to study Computer Science to hopefully contribute work of software development involved in the field of audio software/hardware.
